Lubrication rules of single pedestal bearings
The rolling bearings of pedestal bearings require lubrication during operation via M10x1 grease
nipples on the impeller and drive side while maintaining the specified quantity and quality of the
lubricant.
The bearing temperatur
e rises after each lubrication and falls to the normal value after the
grease has reached the operating consistency.
Rolling bearings are equipped with grease control
discs, by means of which the amount of grease in the bearing is precisely adjusted. Exces
s grease
remains in the bearing housing.
After about a 10. lubrication with grease given in Table 23
"Lubrication intervals and grease quantities" with the assignment to a specific bearing, the old
grease must be completely remove
d from the bearing housing and the housing must be filled with
new grease. When lubricating, remember to use the amount of grease shown in the above table (it is
necessary to accurately weigh this amount).
