4.3.4 Configure the Type of Expansion Racks
There are two ways to connect expansion racks to the NIU.
Multiple Expansion Racks: When an I/O Station will contain more than
one expansion rack, you must attach an Expansion Transmitter Module
(IC200BTM001) to the NIU as shown in the figure below. With this
arrangement, up to seven expansion racks may be used. Each expansion
rack must have an Expansion Receiver Module (IC200ERM001 or
IC200ERM002) placed in slot 0 as shown in the figure below. For this case,
each expansion rack may be configured as any unique number between
1 and 7.
