If the upper thread of your Empisal Sewing Machine breaks, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the machine is correctly threaded by rethreading it. If the thread tension is too tight, reduce it. The thread might be too thick for the needle, so select a larger needle. Also, verify the needle is correctly inserted with the flat side towards the back. Check if the thread is wound around the spool holder pin; if so, remove the reel and wind the thread onto it. Finally, a damaged needle can cause breakage, so replace it if necessary.
