The hemmer foot is used to stitch the narrow rolled hems usually found on shirt tails, table
linens
and along the edge of
frills.

* The Hemmer foot accessory is optional. It
is not included with this machine.

Fold edge of fabric over about 3mm (1/8 inch),
then fold it over again 3mm (1/8 inch) for
about 5cm (2 inches) along the edge of the
fabric.

Insert the needle into the fold by rotating the
handwheel toward you, and lower the
presser foot. Sew several stitches and raise
the presser foot.
Insert the fabric fold into the spiral opening
of hemmer foot. Move fabric back and forth
until the fold forms a scroll shape.

Lower the presser foot and start sewing
slowly guiding the raw edge of the fabric in
front of the hemmer foot evenly into the
scroll of the foot.
