Installaon and Operaons Manual

When installing a heang and cooling unit, there are several
items the installer should consider before placing the
equipment.
See illustraons in this manual for recommended unit
clearances.
The installer must verify that all applicable wiring, piping,
and accessories are correct and on the job site. All wiring,
line and low voltage, should comply with the manufacturer’s
recommendaons, the Naonal Electrical Code, and all local
codes and ordinances.
All Indoor EME/EMD Modules should be located in an indoor
area were the ambient temperature will remain between 55
o
F
and 95
o
F.
Unit should be located in a way that piping or other
permanently installed xtures do not have to be removed for
servicing.
This manual describes installaon and service procedures for
implementaon by Enertech trained specialists.

The balance temperature is the outdoor temperature when
the heat pump’s stated output is equal to the building’s input
requirement. This means that the heat pump covers the whole
building’s output requirement down to this temperature.
EAV is equipped with two compressor heaters that heat the
compressor before start-up and when the compressor is cold.
In heang, the minimum outdoor air temperature at which
the unit will operate is -13 deg. F. In cooling, the minimum
temperature is 32 deg. F.
Disposal of the packaging should be completed by the installer.
Removal of all packaging and waste should be done in an
environmentally friendly way. Please recycle responsibly.
Do not dispose of used products with normal household waste.
It must be disposed of at a special waste staon or dealer who
provides this type of service. Please recycle responsibly.
The equipment contains R410A, a uorinated greenhouse gas
with a GWP value (Global Warming Potenal) of 2088. Do not
release R410A into the atmosphere.
The serial number can be found at the boom le on the rear
cover (see page 6).
