Load a stack of the desired paper on the center of
the paper cassette with the printable surface
facing down.
Note:
❏ Make sure that you do not load paper
beyond the limit mark. See “Available
Paper and Capacities” on page 40.
❏ Do not move the paper guide after the paper
is loaded; if you do, the paper may not be
able to feed correctly.

Push the paper cassette into the printer.
G
Extend the paper support according to the size of
the paper to prevent the paper from slipping off
the printer.
H
Set the paper size on the paper size setting dial (or
Cassette1 Size on the control panel) and
Cassette1 Type settings to match the loaded
paper size and paper type on the control panel.

MP tray
Note:
To load envelopes, see “Envelopes” on page 46.

Open the MP tray.

Extend the paper support of the MP tray.

Slide the paper guides to accommodate the paper
you are loading.
Note:
Be sure to adjust the paper guides according to
the size of the paper you loaded to prevent paper
feed failures, paper jams or any other errors.
