Attaching and Removing a Lens

Replace the lens replacement cover.

If projecting down, we recommend securing the lens
replacement cover with commercially available screws
(M3×12mm).

To perform lens calibration, turn on the projector.

When a message prompting you to start lens calibration is displayed,
select Yes.
Lens calibration starts and helps the projector to correctly acquire the
lens position and adjustment range. It takes up to 100 seconds. When
calibration is finished, the lens returns to its original position.
The following lenses return to the standard position.

If no message is displayed after turning on the projector,
perform lens calibration manually using one of the following
methods.
Hold down the [Default] button on the remote control for
approximately 3 seconds.
Change the projector's menu:
s Extended > Operation > Lens Calibration
If you do not calibrate the lens, the following functions may
not operate correctly.
Focus
Distortion
Zoom
Lens Shift
Memory (Lens Position)
Attention
If the icon indicating that lens calibration has failed is displayed, remove the
lens and then reinstall it. If the message continues to be displayed, stop
using the projector, remove the power plug from the electrical outlet, and
contact Epson for help.
