TECHNICAL REFERENCE MANUAL Dyvi 2.0.7.2
Processing Module Installation and Cabling 33
If multiple Processing Modules contribute to one ‘Production’, all
contributing units must be provided with the same reference timing signal.
The system global timing must be kept in 0.5 ms window to retain time
consistent video switching. Staying within this timing constraints allows
optical cable distances (distributed productions with direct dark fiber
connections and/or metropolitan LAN PHY WAVE connections) between
Main Processing Module and Extension Processing Modules of up to ~ 80
km (~50 miles), assuming physical signal return latencies of ~10
msec/1000 km.
Note
By default, analog REF input signal (Black Burst or Tri-Level
Sync) is used as video reference source.
For details on how to build up Dyvi ‘Productions’ refer to the
Dyvi User Manual.
Video Reference Source can be changed via the Supervisor
web interface.
Remote-Production is subject to EVS licensing.
