Chapter 2: CAM2® Measure Devices Menu
Probes
Select DEVICES < PROBES from the DEVICES menu. In the PROBES
dialog box you can:
• Select the current probe and view the C
ALIBRATION STATUS.
• Create, Edit and Delete a probe.
• Calibrate the current probe.
• View the calibration log for the current probe.
• Enable or disable the use of FARO i-Probes with Quantum series
FaroArms.
The C
ALIBRATION STATUS and calibration date are displayed for every
probe. The four standard probes for the FaroArm (3mm, 6mm, Point
and FARO Laser Line Probe) are created by default. Calibrate each of
these probes before you begin measuring your parts.
Using FARO i-Probes
When a FARO i-Probe is attached to a Quantum series FaroArm, it is
automatically added to the C
URRENT PROBE list. You do not need to edit
any parameters of the FARO i-Probe.

OTE: FARO i-Probes will not attach to Platinum or Fusion series
FaroArms. Installing the i-Probe to anything other than a Quantum
series FaroArm damages the i-Probe.
