4.3.3 Teaching the intermediate p ositions
The SPC11 permits fast movement into up to two selectable
intermediate posi ti ons . The desired intermediate positions
are “taught” by manual movement or by shifting the move-
able mass and then saving. The “taught” intermediate posi-
tions can be approached during operation.
The intermediate positions can also be used as sensor posi-
tions, as the relevant output bit (O3...O4) supplies a 1-signal
for 50 ms when the intermediate positions are exceeded (see
section 4.4.4).
Prerequisites: The drive must be ready for operation. There must be a
0-signal at input bits I1...I4. In order that the teach pro-
cedure can be started with the buttons, the yellow AS-Inter-
face b us cable must not be connected. The supply pressure
must be swi tched on or off, depending on the v a riant.
Variants
Procedure
The supply pressure is
switche d off
The moveable mass can be brought into
the desired position very accurately by
hand during the teach procedure.
The supply pressure is
switche d on
The mass can be moved manually. Very
accurate positioning can, under cer tain
circumstances, be difficult and may take a
considerble amount of time.
The following section explains how to teach the intermediate
positions when the supply pressure is switched on. If you
wish to teach the intermediate po sitions wi th the supply pres-
sure switched off, you must proceed in exactly the same
manner. However, the mass will not start moving automati-
cally when the button is pressed { or },butmustbe
brought into the desired intermediate position by hand. The
button { or } must still b e pressed at the appropriate posi-
tion.
