• Instrument switched OFF. Press the button [OK] to
turn the instrument ON.
• Battery contact foil still in
the battery compartment
and the instrument can not
switched ON.
Remove the battery contact
foil before (first) use.
• The USB interface is in an
undefined condition.
Remove the batteries from
the instrument and insert
the batteries again. Press
the button [OK] to turn the
instrument ON.
Er1 Internal error Perform a normalization. If
the error occurs repeatedly,
call the Fischer servicing.

Er4 Overflow of the data
memory.
Delete the data memory,

Er5 Cannot determine value for
substrate material.
• Button [OK] would be
pressed although no mea-
surement was performed
on the uncoated reference
part (base). This results in
the termination of the nor-
malization or corrective
calibration.
Use parts with applicable
base material, see pages
12 and 14.
Call the desired calibration
menu ( , ) again and
perform 5 to 10 measure-
ments on the uncoated ref-
erence part (base).
