Battery Charging and Life
Charge the battery for 4 hours before you use it for the first
time.
To charge the battery, connect the AC adapter to the
battery connector (
 in Figure 1). You can use the tester
while you charge the battery.
Figure 2 shows how to replace the battery.
When the tester is off, the battery charges in approximately
3 hours.
Note
The battery will not charge if the internal
temperature of the tester is above 113 º F (45ºC).
The battery life is approximately 5.5 hours during typical
operation. An icon in the upper-left corner of the screen
shows the battery status. See Figure 4 on page 22.
