Accessing the Instrument Remotely (LAN only)

From this screen, you can do the following:
Remotely access the instrument.
Note
The remote instrument can be accessed by
multiple users, but can be controlled by
only one user at a time.
Access reports saved on the CompactFlash
memory card or real-time reports in the
instrument’s active test results memory.
Initiate a support incident at the Fluke Networks
website.
Access the Help screens.
3. To remotely access the instrument:
a) Click
.
b) Use the keyboard to type the Remote
Authentication password. Then, click
.
Note
The instrument’s default factory setting
requires no password. Therefore, clicking
with no entry in the password filed
displays the Test Results screen. However,
for security reasons, you can set a password
to restrict usage to authorized users only.
See “Instrument Security Settings” on page
79 for instructions.
The remote instrument’s Test Results screen is
displayed. You are now connected and can
control the instrument remotely.
