Emergency braking system is designed
with the assumption that it shall be
connected to one trailer maximum. If more
than one trailer is connected, the system
shall be turned o by pressing the o
button.
Switching the System O and On
Note: The Emergency Braking System
shall be on whenever the ignition is
switched on as long as there is no fault in
the system.
Note: To turn o the system, press
the system o
button on the front
panel. The system warning lamp
on
the instrument panel shall be lit solidly
when the system is turned o . To turn
the system back on, press the system o
button for a little while. In this case,
warning lamp
shall be turned o to
indicate that the system is active again.

Why may the Emergency Braking
System be turned o ?
• You may have turned the system o by
pressing the o
key.
• ESP function may have turned o .
• The system may have detected that the
radar detection area setting has failed.
In this case, the information screen shall
display a warning that the system has
failed. Your vehicle shall be inspected by
a Ford Authorized Service to have the
system activated again.
• The system may have turned itself o
considering the possibility of a problem
in the system if the system has switched
over twice before the ignition is switched
o . Your vehicle shall be inspected by
a Ford Authorized Service to have the
system activated again.

Note: Faults in other systems or parts
of the vehicle may cause the Emergency
Braking System to turn o automatically.
If the system warning lamp
has been
lit solidly for a long time, your vehicle shall
be inspected by a Ford Authorized Service.
