PS
Use the PS Settings menu to change printer settings that only affect jobs using the PostScript 3 Compatible
printer language.
NOTE:
• The value marked by an asterisk (*) is the factory default setting.
• PS Error Report
Purpose:
To specify whether to print the contents of PostScript 3 Compatible errors.
Values:
NOTE:
• Instructions from the PS driver override the settings specified on the operator panel.
• PS Job Timeout
Purpose:
To specify the runtime of one PostScript 3 Compatible job.
Values:
• Output Color
Purpose:
To specify the color mode to Color or Black & White. This setting is used for a print job which does not specify a
print mode.
Values:
• Image Depth
Purpose:
To specify the image depth setting to 1 bit or 2 bit.
Values:
PDF
Use the PDF Settings menu to change printer settings that only affect the PDF jobs.
NOTE:
• The value marked by an asterisk (*) is the factory default setting.
Off Discards the print job without printing an error message.
On* Prints an error message before it discards the job.
Off* Job timeout does not occur.
On 1min A PostScript 3 Compatible error occurs if processing is not completed after the
specified time.
1 – 900min
Color* Prints in color mode.
Black & White Prints in black and white mode.
1 Bit Prints in 2 bit color or if you use the other PS driver not provided with this printer, it
prints in 1 bit color.
2 Bit* Prints in 2 bit color.
