Operation of this module is not pe rmitted in Taiwan.
In systems equipped with
a SmartCard reader and palm sensor, access can be restricted to
those users who have a cor
responding SmartCard or ha ve stored their palm print.
Installing the SmartCard reader/palm sensor
• The top casing cover has been removed (refer to "Removing t he casing top cover", Page 66).
If you have already fitted a blanking plate, an optical drive or a second hard disk
prior to installing the SmartCard reader/palm sensor, carry out the corresponding
steps in the relevant sub-section of this chapter first.
If you have already mounted a blanking plate
► Remove the blanking plate (see "If you have alre ady mounted a blanking plate", Page 70).
If you have already fitted an optical drive
► Remove the optical d rive and associated cabling (see "Removing the drive", Page 73).
If you have already mounted a second hard disk
► Remove the second hard disk an d the associated cable, refer to "Removing a hard disk", Pag e 81.
