Figure 8 System and Scaling Screen 1
Lead/Lag Configuration
Rotation Priority: Touch operand that determines if the ModSync (Auto) or the user (Manual) selects
which value is compared to determine the lead lag sequence. In Auto the ModSync will look at all the
boilers cycles and hours counts and determine if the lead lag sequence should be based on the number of
run hours or number or boiler cycles in order to equalize wear across the boiler plant. When in Manual
mode the user will be able to select the Manual Priority to determine the value that the ModSync looks at
to determine the lead lag sequence.
Manual Priority: Displays the current lead lag priority and allows the user to select the priority when the
Rotation Priority is in Manual mode. When in “Cycles” the ModSync will keep the boiler with the least
number of cycles lead, the next least number of cycles lag 1, etc.… When in hours the ModSync will keep
the boiler with the least number of hours as lead, the next least number as lag 1, etc.
Remote Setpoint Scaling
Low (4mA): The temperature value the setpoint will be at when the input is 4mA.
High (20mA): The temperature value the setpoint will be at when the input is 20mA.
The setpoint will scale in a linear fashion between the two points.
System Configuration
Number of Boilers: Allows the user to select the number of boilers being controlled by the ModSync. The
standard ModSync is capable of controlling up to 8 boilers. Custom programs can control many more.
Default Factory Settings: Allows the user to reset the ModSync back to factory settings.
Screen Contrast: Adjusts the brightness of the screen. 20 darkest, 100 brightest.
Temp Scaling: Change the ModSync between Celsius and Fehrenheit.
Modulation Mode: Determines how the ModSync will control the boilers. See below.
