Boiler Modbus Network (Port 3)
Port 3 from the ModSync is used for Modbus communication to the boilers. Depending on the setup this can
include LMV3, LMV5, SOLA, or other boiler controls. The option to toggle between available controllers is located
on the ModSync initial startup page and typically only needs to be preset / selected once at the factory.
Modbus Wiring: The Modbus communication wiring should be done in a daisy chain configuration. The
wiring should be three wire shielded. The shield should be connected to earth ground at the ModSync
only.
Boiler Addressing: In order to communicate to the ModSync correctly the boilers will need to be
addressed correctly at their local control. The ModSync is always address 1 so each boilers address will be
boiler number plus 1.
