Body Role
Operation Control Center (OCC)
It is located at Inmarsat’s London headquaters
and controls the system for 24 hours.
Satellite Control Center (SCC)
It is responsible for operating the satellites
owned by the Inmarsat.
Network Coordination Center (NCS)
Each ocean region has its NCS which monitors
and controls communications traffic between the
LES and the satellite.
Land Earth Station (LES)
It acts as an interface between the MES and the
terrestrial telecommuniations network via the
satellite.
Mobile Earth Station (MES) It is the ship installed the Inmarsat .
