▶ The HLS module and the tubes will fill with water.
14 Switch the CARDIOHELP on and activate the “Global Override”
mode (see Instructions for Use).

15 Set a speed of 3000 rpm for two minutes. Increase the speed to 4000 rpm for one minute.
▶ Repeat the process until pump sounds are no longer audible.
16 Close the de-airing membrane of the HLS module with the yellow protective cap.
17 Make sure that the entire set has been completely de-aired.
18 Stop the CARDIOHELP.
19 Deactivate the “Global Override” mode.
3.2.4 Transport Guard Check
1 Visual Test
▶ Fixation and tension element are in good condition, clean, not bent and screws are tight
▶ Locking mechanism can be rotated.

2 Transport Guard Installation and Function Test
▶ Engage and lock the Transport Guard.
▶ Locking the Transport Guard should be carried out effortlessly without damaging it and should be
locked securely.
▶ Transport Guard is fixed evenly onto the disposable

3 Remove Transport Guard
▶ Transport Guard can be locked, unlocked and removed easily

3.2.5 Emptying the Test Circuit
1 Set the speed to 0 rpm.
2 Close the clamps on the red and blue tube lines of the priming bag.
3 Clamp the two tubes below the connector.
4 Disconnect the priming bag at the connector.
5 Empty the priming bag over a suitable container by opening both tube lines of the priming bag.
6 Disconnect the clamps from the tubes.
7 Empty the tubes and the disposable over a suitable container.
8 Disconnect the HLS module (⇨ "Disconnecting the HLS Module", page 34).
9 Disconnect all tubes.
