3.6.1 Flow Accuracy
Prerequisite
HLS test circuit is connected and external flow/bubble sensor is connected on the arterial side (⇨ "HLS Test
Circuit", page 33).
1 Carry out the zero calibration of the flow sensor, see Instructions
for Use, section “Flow sensor: Carry out zero calibration”.

WARNING!
Only calibrate when the tube is clamped upstream and downstream of the flow/bubble sensor.
2 Remove the clamps upstream and downstream of the flow/bubble sensor.
3 Set the speed to 5000 rpm.
▶ External flow/bubble sensor measures the flow and displays it on the touchscreen of the
CARDIOHELP.
4 Set the flow meter to 7 lpm with the flow clamp [A].

5 Read the LPM measured value from the touchscreen of the CARDIOHELP and enter it in the service
protocol.
6 Set the speed to 4000 rpm.
▶ External flow/bubble sensor measures the flow and displays it on the touchscreen of the
CARDIOHELP.
