9. Reinstall all removed hardware components back to the proper locations. See Installing
Expansion Modules of SG-6000-X9180, Installing an AC/DC Power Module of SG-6000-
X10800/X9180, and Replacing a Fan Tray of SG-6000-X9180.
Notes:
l Before powering on the device, all empty slots should be covered with blank
plates.
l To prevent the equipment damage or personal injury, three people are needed
to install the device.
l To remove the device to the rack or cabinet, two peoples are required to use
the handles on the chassis side and one people are required to use the handles
on the front panel. To avoid damaging the chassis, you should not use the
lever of modules to remove the device.
Installing SG-6000-X8180
In order to install the device conveniently, you should remove all parts that can be removed from
the chassis and re-install them when the chassis is properly positioned. When all hardware com-
ponents are removed, the chassis weighs 20.2kg, and it requires at least two people to install the
appliance.
To install SG-6000-X8180 manually, take the following steps:
1. Wear an ESD strap and connect the other end of the strap to the ESD point on the chassis.
See ESD Prevention.
2. Make sure the device is not powered and it will not be powered during the removing pro-
cess.
