CLEANING THE SPARK ARRESTER
1. Clean:
Tap the tailpipe lightly with a soft-
face hammer or suitable tool, then
use a wire brush to remove any
carbon deposits from the spark
arrester portion of the tailpipe and
the inner contact surfaces of the
muffler.
2. Spark arrester
Warning:
Select a well-ventilated area free of
combustible materials. Always let the
exhaust system cool before performing
this operation. Do not start the engine
when removing the tailpipe from the
muffler.
• Remove the bolts (1).
• Remove the tailpipe (2) by pulling it
out of the muffler.
• Remove the tailpipe
by pulling it
out of the muffler.
For installation reverse the removal
process.
ADJUSTING THE BRAKE PEDAL
• brake rod (1)
• brake locknut (2)
1. Measure the brake pedal free play.
Note:
The end of the brake rod (1) should
lightly contact the brake master
cylinder.
