ADJUSTING THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
Note:
The brake light switch is operated by
movement of the brake pedal. The brake light
switch is properly adjusted
when the brake light comes on just before the
braking effect starts.
1. Check the timing of the brake light.
2. Adjustment procedure.
• Hold the main body of the brake light
switch (1) so that it does not rotate
and turn the adjusting nut (2) in
direction (a) or (b) until the brake
light comes on at the proper time.
CHECKING THE FINAL GEAR OIL LEVEL
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Remove the oil filler plug (1)
3. Check the oil level.
• Oil level should be up to the brim of
the hole.
SAE 80 API “GL-4” Hypoid gear
oil
4. Install the oil filler plug.
Tightening torque
23 Nm (2.3 m·kgf, 16.3 ft·lbs)
CHANGING THE FINAL GEAR
OIL
1. Place the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. Place a container under the
final gear case to collect the
used oil.
3. Remove the oil filler plug (1)
and the Final gear oil drain
bolt (2).
4. Fill the final gear case.
