10.5.7 Removing the compressor
1 Remove the service cover and the bottom service cover following
“10.5.1Removingservicecover”, and “10.5.4Removingthebottom
servicecoverandrearcover”. When the outdoor unit is installed
close to a wall remove the refrigerant piping and move the unit
from the wall.
2 Collect the refrigerant from the check joint.
N O T E
CheckPerformtherecoveryworkatthecheckjointofpiping.Ifnot,the
refrigerantremainsinside.
3 Open the soundproof cover wrapped around the compressor and
remove the terminal box cover of the compressor body. Disconnect
the compressor wires in the terminal box and disconnect the ther-
mistor on top of the compressor. Remove the soundproof cover.

4 Remove the rubber cap, the upeer cover and the thermistor atta-
ched on top of the compressor.
5 Remove the crankcase heater.
