Remove both shafts from the ballast (see figure 88).
Hydraulically retract the ballast support. The ballast is now hanging loose, from the
crane.
Raise the boom.
Lower the ballast onto the pallet (see figure 89).
Detach the D-shackles from the ballast and remove the ballast support from the
boom.
Put the ballast support back in its storage location on the engine shroud (see figure
90).
The machine can now be put in the transport position and driven away from the
ballast.
Attach the ballast to the crane in the reverse order.
Verification
Check whether the ballast has disappeared from the display on the remote control.
Check whether the ballast is in a safe position, move if necessary and/or cordon off the area around the
ballast to prevent accidents.
