12.5 Flush mounting ST 700 Basic Transmitter
To mount a flush mounted model, cut a hole for a 1” standard pipe in the tank or pipe where the
transmitter is to be mounted. Weld the 1” mounting sleeve to the wall of the tank or to the hole cut on
the pipe. Insert the meter body of the transmitter into the mounting sleeve and secure with the locking
bolt. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 6.4 Nm +/- 0.30 Nm (4.7 ft-lbs +/- 0.2 ft.-lbs.). Figure 45 shows a
typical installation for a transmitter with a flush mount on a pipe.
Once the transmitter is mounted, the electronics housing can be rotated to the desired
position. See Figure 48 for details.
ATTENTION: On insulated tanks, remove enough insulation to accommodate the mounting
sleeve.
