To Rename a File 1. Press and press the key that
corresponds to the disk where the desired file is located.
2. Use the front panel knob to move the highlighted bar to the file you
want to rename.
3. Press .
4. Use the key repeatedly, or press to
erase the current filename from the analyzer screen.
5. Enter the new filename in one of the following ways:
• Use an external keyboard connected to the analyzer's rear panel
DIN KEYBOARD connector and type in the new filename. (For
information on using a keyboard, see “Using a Keyboard” on
page 4-83.)
• Use the front panel knob and key to point and
select each character of the new filename. Then press .
To Delete a File 1. Highlight the file to be deleted by using the front panel knob or the
keys.
2. Press .
3. To delete all files within the current directory, press
.
To Copy a File 1. Highlight the file to be copied by using the front panel knob or the
keys.
2. Press and then select the destination disk for the file to
be copied. You will then be given the opportunity to edit the
destination file name if you wish.
3. Use a keyboard (if connected) or the front panel knob and the softkeys
to enter the destination filename.
CAUTION There will be no warning from the analyzer if the destination file already
exists. It will be overwritten without warning. For instance, STATE1.STA
on the internal memory disk and STATE1.STA on a floppy disk in the
built-in disk drive may contain completely different sets of data. If you
copy one of those files to the other without editing the file name, the
destination file will be overwritten with the source file.
