5. After reboot, click Start, Settings, Control Panel and double-click the Display icon,
then click the Settings tab.
6. Change the screen area to match the size of the display (see list below), click Apply,
OK, then Yes to keep settings.
HP notebook with 15.1" SXGA Display: 1400 x 1050
HP notebook with 15.1" XGA Display: 1024 x 768
HP notebook with 14.1" XGA Display: 1024 x 768
To install audio support
The driver is located on the Recovery CD in \HP\DRIVERS\AUDIO.
1. Double-click \HP\DRIVERS\AUDIO\ESSETUP.EXE.
2. Click Next on the Allegro Welcome screen, then Next to install driver.
3. Remove the Recovery CD and click Finish to complete the setup and reboot the
HP notebook.
To install modem support
The driver is located on the Recovery CD in \HP\DRIVERS\MODEM.
1. Double-click \HP\DRIVERS\MODEM\SETUP.EXE.
2. Click Next on the “Welcome...” screen, then Next again.
3. Remove the Recovery CD and click Finish to complete the setup and reboot the
HP notebook.
If an error message “the file SLM.CAT on (unknown) cannot be found” appears after the
reboot, just press Enter and the installation will continue.
To install integrated LAN support
The driver is located on the Recovery CD in \HP\DRIVERS\LAN.
1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, double-click System, then click the Device
Manager tab.
