Step 6 Test the insulation between the cabinet and the expansion bolts.
1. Set the multimeter to the megohm position (MΩ).
2. Measure the resistance between the cabinet and the four expansion bolts, as shown in
Figure 8-5.

l If the resistance is less than five megohms, you can infer that the cabinet is not insulated
from the floor. Go to step Step 6.3.
l If the resistance is greater than or equal to five megohms, you can infer that the cabinet
is insulated from the floor. End the test.
3. Decompose the expansion bolt assemblies, and check whether insulating washers are
missing or damaged.
