Step 1: Place the router with the rear panel forward.
Step 2: Hold the interface unit, and align its corner with the edge of the opening in the
rear panel at the bottom of the router, as shown in Figure 8-7.
Step 3: Push the interface unit to the inside of the router until it presses against the rear
panel of the router, as shown in Figure 8-7.
Step 4: Fix the interface unit to the router with the fastening screws, as shown in Figure
8-8.
Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until all the interface units are installed.

III. Removing the interface unit of the function modules
Following are the steps for removing the interface unit:
Step 1: Power off the router.
Step 2: Place the router with the rear panel forward.
Step 3: Unplug the network interface cables from the rear panel of the routers.
Step 4: Remove the fastening screws at both sides of the interface unit with a flathead
screwdriver.
