z The FE interface can work at the speed of 100Mbps or 10Mbps, and can
implement auto-sensing.
z
The FE interface can work in full-duplex or half-duplex mode; the former is more
commonly used.
II. Arrangement of Ethernet interfaces
The interfaces of FE module should be arranged according to the following principle:
z The fixed Ethernet interface of R2630/R2620/R2630E is Ethernet0, and the
interface number of the first swappable module starts from Ethernet1.
R2631/R2621/R2631E has two fixed Ethernet interfaces: Ethernet0 and Ethernet1.
The interface number of the first swappable module starts from Ethernet2. The
first Ethernet interface of the R3640/3680/R3640E/R3680E is Ethernet0.

The number of the Ethernet interface will increase in ascending order, starting
from slot 0.
z In the same 2FE board, the interface sequencing is the same as that of 2FE panel.
For example, if a 1FE is plugged into slot 1 of the Quidway R2630 and 2FE is plugged
into slot 2, the number for the Ethernet interface in slot 1 is Ethernet1, and the two
Ethernet interfaces are numbered Ethernet2 and Ethernet3.
