Why is the water box on my HydraMaster Boxxer 423s Test Equipment empty or filling slowly?
    • R
      Rebecca ThompsonSep 12, 2025
If the water box on your HydraMaster Test Equipment is empty or filling slowly, there might be a restriction in the water supply system. Inspect the supply system from the source through the incoming quick connect. Another possibility is a faulty float valve in the water box, so disassemble and inspect the valve, repairing or replacing it as necessary.

Why is there a weak vacuum at the wand of my HydraMaster Boxxer 423s, even though the gauge reads normal?
    • A
      Ashley BanksSep 13, 2025
If you're experiencing a weak vacuum at the wand of your HydraMaster Test Equipment, even though the gauge reads normal, there could be a blockage in the hoses or wand tube. Disconnect the hoses and check for an obstruction. Another potential cause is an excessive length of hose connected to the truckmount, so avoid attaching excessive lengths of hose.

Why does the vacuum gauge on my HydraMaster Boxxer 423s read too high when no hoses are attached?
    • R
      Ryan BellSep 15, 2025
If the vacuum gauge on your HydraMaster Test Equipment reads too high with no hoses attached, the filter in the recovery tank might be clogged. Remove and clean or replace it as necessary. Another possible reason is that the hose from the recovery tank to the vacuum blower is collapsed internally, so inspect and replace it if needed.

Why is there water in the exhaust of my HydraMaster Boxxer 423s truckmount?
    • J
      John AyalaSep 17, 2025
Water in the exhaust of your HydraMaster Test Equipment truckmount can occur if the recovery tank has been filled with foam or overfilled with water. Inspect the recovery tank and drain it if it's full. Inspect the high level shutoff switch for proper operation. Clean or replace the switch as necessary. If foam is in recovery tank, use defoamer on the carpet being cleaned.

What to do if the vacuum blower on my HydraMaster Test Equipment is locked and will not turn?
    • L
      Leah ColemanSep 18, 2025
If the vacuum blower on your HydraMaster Test Equipment is locked and won't turn, it could be due to the truckmount being inactive for a while, with the blower not properly lubricated before shutdown, potentially causing rust buildup. Spray penetrating oil into the blower and let it sit for at least 1 hour. Then, carefully use a pipe wrench on the outer diameter of the pulley on the coupler to attempt to free the blower lobes, but do not use a wrench directly on the blower shaft. If unable to free up the blower in this manner, or if there is internal damage to the blower, refer to a qualified service technician.

Why is chemical present in the water box of my HydraMaster Boxxer 423s Test Equipment?
    • W
      Wayne SwansonDec 1, 2025
The presence of chemicals in the water box of your HydraMaster Test Equipment can stem from several issues. The temperature control knob might be turned down, so inspect and adjust it. A faulty dump solenoid could also be the culprit; inspect it and test its functionality, and if the solenoid is operable, refer to a qualified service technician to test the temperature controller and sensor. Excessive solution flow at the tool, possibly due to a cleaning tool jet that's too large or worn, may also cause this issue, so inspect and replace the jet if needed. Other potential causes include hard water scale buildup in the heat exchanger (descale the system), blockage on the exhaust side of the heat exchanger (inspect and clean), a faulty chemical pump diaphragm (inspect and replace), or a fault...
