v Read VPD Image from Last System Boot
Displays manufacturer’s vital product data (VPD), such as serial numbers and part
numbers that were stored from the system boot prior to the one in progress now.
v Read Progress Indicators from Last System Boot
Displays the boot progress indicators (checkpoints), up to a maximum of 100, from
the system boot prior to the one in progress now. This historical information can be
useful to help diagnose system faults.
The progress indicators are displayed in two sections. Above the dashed line the
progress indicators (latest) from the boot that produced the current sessions. Below
the dashed line are progress indicators (oldest) from the boot preceding the one that
produced the current sessions.
The progress indicator codes are listed from top (latest) to bottom (oldest). The
dashed line merely represents the point where the latest boot started. For an
example, refer to “LCD Progress Indicator Log” on page 478.
v Read Service Processor Error Logs
Displays error conditions detected by the service processor. Refer to “Service
Processor Error Logs” on page 476 for an example of this error log.
v Read System POST Errors
Selecting this item lets you review the results of the POST (Power-On Self-Test).
Your server may be able to start in the presence of POST errors if there are sufficient
working system resources. If POST errors occur during startup, this error log when
used with the diagnostics helps to isolate faults. Refer to “System POST Errors” on
page 477 for an example of this error log.
v Read NVRAM
Displays nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) content.
