TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION REF.
The transceiver does
not turn ON.
The Battery is exhausted or over dis-
charged.
The Battery pack is notcorrectly attached.
Recharge the battery pack.
Correctly attach the battery pack.

Little or no sound comes
from the speaker.
The squelch level is set too high.
The volume level is set too low.
The speaker has been exposed to water.
Water has entered to [SP/MIC] connector.
Set the squelch to the threshold point.
• Set the volume to a suitable level.

tion.

Some channels are programmed for low
power or receive only by regulations.
The battery is exhausted.
The battery is overcharged.
The output power is set to low.
• Change channels.
Recharge the battery pack.
