Preparations for casting the solder joints
1. Tie the O-ring
connected to the cable plug upwards.
2. Bend the strands apart so that the glue
can get into the gaps.
For casting, use a fast curing
2-component epoxy adhesive.
It must not be too thin so that it holds between
the strands.
3. Using a spatula or other suitable object,
fill the still liquid glue between the
strands.
Caution
In any case, the adhesive must also run
between the pins to seal them, create
additional insulation, and protect the
soldering from corrosion.
Make sure that the adhesive does not
run into the O-ring seat.
Caution
Mixed adhesive is hand-solid in approx.
5min.
