8. Removing the rear radial air bag
1. Cut the crimp ferrule at the centre of the
distributor
o first cut longitudinally
o then transversely to separate the edge
of the crimp ferrule
2. Cut the crimp ferrule at the rear of the
distributor
o first cut longitudinally
o then transversely to separate the edge of
the crimp ferrule
3. Lift and remove the crimp ferrules
Caution
When making a longitudinal cut, take care
not to damage the air bag.
The distributor may not be damaged during
cross-cutting.
