3.9.2 CIO Port A
Port A, an 8-bit input port, is used to report CPU and memory module configuration:
Bits 0-2 report the CPU module processor type.
Bits 3-5 report on the selected CPU module frequency.
Bit 6 reports on the speed of the installed DRAM.
Bit 7 is the PCI 9060 Installed Bit.
Example code for initializing and reading this register is located in the initialization portion of the
MON960.
Figure 3-3 shows the bits and bit definitions; tables following the figure define the bit functions.
