BIOS Setup Interface Intel® Server Board S1200V3RP TPS
Revision 1.2
Each USB Mass Storage device may be set to allow the media emulation for which it is
formatted, or an emulation may be specified. For USB Flash Memory devices in particular, there
are some restrictions:
· A USB Key formatted as a CDROM drive will be recognized as an HDD.
· A USB Key formatted without a Partition Table will be forced to FDD emulation.
· A USB Key formatted with one Partition Table, and less than 528 MB in size, will be forced
to FDD emulation – otherwise if it is 528 MB or greater in size, it will be forced to HDD
emulation.
Note: USB devices can be “hotplugged” during POST, and will be detected and “beeped”. They
will be enumerated and displayed on this screen, though they may not be enumerated as
bootable devices.
