Taiwan calendar
The Taiwan calendar year is the figure subtracted 1911 from the Western calendar year.
For example the Western calendar year 2010 is the Taiwan calendar year 99.
Thai calendar
The Thai calendar counts the year from the year of Buddha’s death, and the Thai calendar year is the figure added
543 to the Western calendar year.
For example the Western calendar year 2005 is the Thai calendar year 2548.
Recently, the Western calendar is widely used in Thailand, but the use of the Thai calendar is required in official
documents.
