In addition, be aware that the safety devices such as the "eye protection cover" and "nger guard" are
sometimes omitted in the sketches, illustrations and gures included in the Instruction Manual for the
explanation's sake.
In the practical use, never remove those safety devices.

preventing contact
between ngers
and the needle.

precautions to
be taken to avoid
danger are writ-
ten on this label.
Pulley cover
This is a cover for
preventing entangle-
ment of hands, hair
and clothes by the
hand pulley.
Warning label
against pinching
This is the caution
label to protect n-
gers, etc. from being
caught between the
bed and table during
maintenance.
Temperature warning label
This label warns that there is a risk
of a burn due to contact with the
high-temperature parts of the device.
Power switch
This is a switch for disconnecting the
power unit of the sewing machine from
the power supply.
Power switch (EU type)
This switch is used for discon-
necting the power unit of the
sewing machine from the power
supply. It is also used as the
emergency stop switch.
Selection of the power switch
Use the IEC60204-1-compliant power
switch with rated current of 20 A or more
and short-circuit breaking capacity of 120
A or more, which has the operating sec-
tion in red against the yellow background.
Warning label against
pinching
This is the caution label to
protect ngers, etc. from
being caught between the
thread take-up lever and
the thread take-up lever
cover.
