Intended Use
2 Safety
This section provides an overview of all important safety
aspects to ensure optimum protection of personnel as well
as safe and trouble-free operation. Additional order-related
safety information is contained in the sections covering the
individual phases of the product‘s life.
2.1 Intended Use
Intended use of the unit also includes adherence to these
instructions.
Any use beyond or other than the stated intended use is
considered misuse.
Check the application with the manufacturer in case of any
doubt.
Information regarding EN60335-1
 This equipment can be used by children from the age of
eight 8 years and by persons with reduced limited, sensory
or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and/or
knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed
in the safe use of the device and understood the resulting
dangers. Do now allow children to play with the equipment.
Do not allow children to clean or maintain the equipment
without supervision.
 The equipment is not designed for operation about
2.000 m.a.s.l.
 The equipment is not designed for permanent connection to
the mains water network.
 There needs to be a suitable overpressure protection
mechanismttedtothewaternetworktowhichthe
equipment is connected.
 Version1(Venkon):
Make sure that the basic unit cannot be accessed by the
general public. Make sure that the basic unit can only be
operated with a casing that prevents the general public
having access to the equipment.
 Version2(Katherm):
Make sure that the equipment cannot be accessed by the
general public. Make sure that the equipment can only
be operated with a grille that prevents the general public
having access to the equipment.
 Max. operating pressure 10 bar [1000 kPa]
 Min. operating pressure 1 bar [100 kPa]
The fan coil is only intended to be used for heating, cooling
andlteringairinfrost-freeanddryrooms.Withintheroom,
the unit needs to be connected to the building‘s heating/
cooling/ventilation system and to the building‘s sewage,
water and power network.
