Blower Hose Connections
The hosing, metal clamps, extensions, and all other plastic fittings are included to hook up the
blowers. The exhaust from the blowers must be run through a fume extractor or to the outside of the
building. This may require the purchase of additional parts. Refer to the Blower Diagram in the
Systems Diagrams chapter for proper installation of the blower hoses/tubes/adapters.
Mirrors and Lenses
Before using the laser system for the first time, alignment of the mirrors is required to align the
beam through the nozzle. Also make sure that the lens is properly focused to ensure optimal cutting
and engraving. These procedures are outlined in the System Calibration section of this manual.
Height Follower Controller (Optional)
Systems equipped with the metal cutting option will have a Height Follower Control Box that will
need to be installed behind the left side of the gantry. The control box will slide back into the
connector. A green plug from the capacitive sensor also plugs into the back of the box. Refer to the
Metal Cutting chapter for operation of the controller.
