screen) → Door → 2 Press Unlock'.

Trunk/tailgate unlock (3)
The trunk/tailgate is unlocked if the
button is pressed for more than 1
second.
The hazard warning lights will blink
twice to indicate that the trunk/tail
-
gate is unlocked.
However, after pressing this button,
the trunk/tailgate will lock automat
-
ically unless you open the trunk/
tailgate within 30 seconds.
Once the trunk/tailgate is opened
and then closed, the trunk/tailgate
will lock automatically.
Remote start (4) (if equipped)
You can start the vehicle using the
remote start button (4) of the
smart key.
To start the vehicle remotely:
䳜 Lock the doors by pressing the
door lock button (1) within 10 m
(32 feet) distance from the vehi
-
cle.
䳜 Press the remote start button for
over 2 seconds within 4 seconds
after locking the doors.
Press the remote start button once
to turn off the vehicle.
If no further action for operating/
driving the vehicle is taken, the vehi
-
cle will be turned off 10 minutes
after starting the vehicle remotely.
䳜 The remote start will not work if
you exceed the operating dis
-
tance limit (about 10 m).
䳜 Avoid idling the engine for pro

longed periods to obey the emis

sion regulations in your country.
䳜 Laws in your country may restrict
the use of remote start.
You should check country regula

tions before using this remote
starting system.
䳜 The vehicle must be in P (Park) for
the remote start function to
start.
䳜 If the bonnet or the trunk/tailgate
is opened, you can䳓t start the
engine remotely.
Panic alarm (5) (if equipped)
1. Press the panic button (5) for
more than 1 second.
2. The horn sounds and hazard
warning light flash for about 27
seconds.
To stop the horn and lights, press
any button on the key.
