Driving your vehicle Brake system
䳜 During emergency braking by the
EPB, the parking brake warning
light will illuminate and the warn
-
ing sounds will occur to indicate
that the system is operating.
䳜 The braking distance may be
longer than under normal braking
conditions.
* EPB stands for Electronic Parking
Brake.
Do not operate the parking brake
whilst the vehicle is moving except
in an emergency situation. It could
damage the vehicle system and
endanger driving safety.
If you continuously notice a noise or
burning smell when the EPB is used
for emergency braking, have the
system checked by a professional
workshop. Kia recommends visiting
an authorised Kia dealer/service
partner.
