When the front windscreen where

snow or rain, it can reduce the
detecting performance and tempo

rarily limit or disable Forward Colli

sion-Avoidance Assist. If this occurs
the 䳒Forward Safety system disa

bled. Radar blocked䳓 warning mes

sage will appear (turns off after a
certain time), and the and
warning lights will illuminate on the
cluster.
The function will operate normally
when snow, rain or foreign matter is
removed. If the function does not
operate normally after it is
removed, have the vehicle inspected
by a professional workshop. Kia rec

ommends to visit an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner.

sage or warning light does not
appear on the cluster, Forward
Collision-Avoidance Assist may
not properly operate.
䳜 Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist may not properly operate
in an area (e.g. open terrain),
where any substance are not
detected after turning ON the
engine.
Limitations of the function
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
may not operate normally, or the
function may operate unexpectedly
under the following circumstances:
䳜 The detecting sensor or the sur

roundings are contaminated or
damaged
䳜 The temperature around the
front view camera is high or low
due to the external environment
䳜 The camera lens is contaminated
due to tinted, filmed or coated
windscreen, damaged glass, or
stuck of foreign matters (sticker,
bug, etc.) on the glass
䳜 Moisture is not removed or frozen
on the windscreen
䳜 Washer fluid is continuously
sprayed, or the wiper is on
䳜 Driving in heavy rain or snow, or
thick fog
