Reassembly
Having chosen the required thickness, mount the gasket as shown in
thegure.
Together with the head gasket, assemble the pushrod gasket.
Head tightening
Caution – Warning
Lubricate the nuts and the washers with engine oil.
Followtheordershownintheguretotightenthe4nutsM9atdiffe-
rent stages with a torque wrench.

phase: tighten all nuts cross way to 5 Nm
2
nd
phase: tighten all nuts in the same order to 20Nm
3
rd
phase: tighten all nuts in the same order to 30Nm
4
th
phase: tighten all nuts in the same order with further rotation of 90°.
Tighten the 2 side nuts M6 to 10 Nm.
Flywheel
Danger – Attention
During the assembly phase, pay particular attention to prevent
the ywheel from dropping as this could seriously injure the
operator.
Wear protective goggles when removing the ywheel ring.
Important
Assemble the ywheel onto the crankshaft taking care that the
reference key is correctly inserted into its seat on the ywheel.
Assemble special tool A p/n 1460-330 to lock the rotation of the
ywheelinitshousinginthestartingmotor.
Tighten bolt 1 counterclockwise.
 Tighten bolt 1 to 150 Nm.
Removetheywheellockingtoolandinstallthestartingmotor.
