Disassembly
Caution – Warning
Do not demount when hot or the part could be deformed.
Loosen the four nuts and remove the cylinder head.
If the cylinder head surface is distorted, level it by removing up to 0.2
mm thickness.
Alwaysreplacetheseal,seeg.130-131onpage55forthecorrect
thickness.

Connecting rod
Loosen the 4 fastening screws A of the bottom cap.
Tighten the hammer puller in the central hole and remove the bottom
cap.
Remove the bottom cap.
Caution – Warning
When reassembling the cap, replace sealing O-ring B and make
sure that hole C is facing towards the timing system housing
side.
