FILE GENERATION TOOL

A windows tool allows the operator to create system les. This application/tool allows the operator to drag in

modules that would normally be installed on an EGM (such as BIOS, platform, game modules, etc.).

The application then provides the operator the same mechanism of generating the le that is CRCed by the

platform. This tool provides the following functions:

• Generate le

• Setup/Arrange Modules

• Run CRC on le

• Run Old LP21

geneRate file

This function allows an operator to generate a CRC system le. A CRC le is generated from multiple modules

that would normally be installed by an EGM. This le can be saved as any extension. To use this function drag

in all necessary les and press Generate File.

SetuP/aRRange moduleS

This function allows an operator to arrange les in the same order as they would be installed on an EGM. Once

all les are dragged over via a directory structure, press Setup/Arrange Modules to order them correctly. The

order has to be correct to generate the correct le signature values.

Run cRc on file

This function allows an operator to run a seed CRC16 operation on a system le. Other les, such as image and

mod les, can also be CRC16ed if needed.

Run old lP21

This function allows an operator to run the previous CRC method on the list of modules in the application. This

will match the old LP21 response replied by the platform.

The following example shows a generated system le for a Selexion game. The results are saved to a le that

can be given to a system operator or regulator.
