Warning and Error Messages
If you turn the power on and the ExpressionMate detects a
problem, it may display one of these messages.
Low Battery
PLEASE REPLACE
YOUR BATTERY!!
If the battery voltage is less than 2.5 volts at power-on, this screen
will appear for 2 seconds before continuing. When the message
comes up for the Þrst time, the battery should last from 1 to 6
months before it stops working completely. A fresh battery
should last 5-10 years.

Memory Failure
MEMORY FAILURE!!
IGNORE RELOAD
If this message appears, you have two choices:
• Press Reload to continue to the Restore Defaults screen and
conÞrm. When you press YES, all Setups and parameters that
you stored in memory will be reset to their factory defaults.
This means that you will lose any Setups that werenÕt backed
up, but the ExpressionMate should now work properly.
• Press Ignore to ignore the problem and try to use the
possibly corrupted Setups. If the ExpressionMate behaves
strangely, reload the Setups from either your backup copy via
SysEx or from the ROM by pressing the Global button, then
selecting Utility. Press Select until Load Setups is displayed
on the top line, then press Execute. Press the right cursor
